Finnmark SoulCold™ Cold & Hot Plunge Tub – Premium Cold & Hot Therapy System with Wi-Fi Control
Finnmark SoulCold™: One Tub for Both Cold Plunge and Hot Soak
The Finnmark SoulCold™ is a 304 stainless steel immersion tub that runs from 34°F to 108°F. That range is the whole point: it is a cold plunge and a hot soak in the same unit, controlled from your phone, rather than two separate pieces of equipment taking up two separate corners of your yard or garage.
Why the Temperature Range Matters
Most cold plunge tubs chill. Some heat a little. Very few cover the full span from near-freezing to hot-tub temperature, and that span is what makes genuine contrast therapy possible in one vessel.
- 34°F is effectively ice-bath cold. That is the low end of what is used for post-training recovery, and it is colder than many home chillers can actually reach and hold.
- 108°F is a proper hot soak — standard hot tub territory.
Practically, the trade-off is time. Moving the same body of water from cold to hot is not instant, so most owners settle into one mode for a stretch rather than alternating within a single session. If your goal is rapid hot-cold-hot cycling, you want two vessels. If your goal is one tub that can be either depending on the day and the season, this is the design that does it.
The Stainless Steel Decision
The tub is 304 stainless steel with a Canadian Western Red Cedar interior insert. That combination is deliberate:
- 304 stainless resists corrosion, does not degrade under UV the way plastics do, and holds temperature well. Cold plunge water is chemically harsh over time, and stainless handles it better than most alternatives.
- The cedar insert provides ergonomic seating and a warmer surface to sit against than bare metal, which matters more than you would expect in a 34°F tub.
Water Care
Two systems work together to keep the water clean, which is the part of cold plunge ownership people underestimate:
- 20-micron filtration removes particulates.
- Ozone purification sanitizes without relying solely on added chemicals.
Cold water does not host bacteria the way warm water does, but it is not self-cleaning either — and since the SoulCold also runs hot, sanitation matters more here than in a cold-only tub. The ozone system substantially reduces how much manual chemical management you do.
Size and Placement
- Dimensions: 79" W x 35" D x 30" H.
- Capacity: 180 gallons.
- Seating: single person, and at 79" long you can extend your legs rather than sitting folded — a real difference from barrel-style plunges.
- Placement: suitable for indoor or outdoor installation.
Weight is the consideration people miss. 180 gallons of water weighs roughly 1,500 lbs on its own, before the tub. Outdoors that means a proper pad or a deck rated for the load. Indoors, on any floor above grade, it is worth a contractor's opinion before installation.
Features
- Temperature range: 34°F to 108°F.
- Controls: Wi-Fi enabled — set temperature from your phone, so the tub is ready when you are.
- Chiller and heater: commercial-grade, suitable for residential or commercial settings.
- Lighting: integrated LED.
- Cover: marine-grade insulated, which reduces running cost and keeps debris out.
- Filtration: 20-micron filter plus ozone sanitation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How cold does the SoulCold actually get?
34°F, which is essentially ice-bath temperature without needing ice. Many home chillers claim low numbers but struggle to hold them, particularly in a warm garage or a hot summer. The commercial-grade chiller here is specified to reach and maintain it.
Can I switch between cold and hot in the same session?
Not quickly. Changing the temperature of 180 gallons takes time. Most owners run it in one mode for a period — cold through training season, hot in winter, for example — rather than alternating within a session. For rapid contrast cycling you would want separate cold and hot vessels.
Can two people use it at once?
No, it is a single-person tub. The 79" length means one person can lie back and extend their legs rather than sitting knees-up, which is a genuine comfort difference compared with barrel-style plunges.
How much maintenance does the water need?
Less than a hot tub. The 20-micron filter handles particulates and the ozone system does much of the sanitizing work. You will still check and adjust water chemistry periodically and change the filter on schedule, but the routine is lighter than a chlorinated spa.
Can the SoulCold be installed outdoors year-round?
Yes, it is built for indoor or outdoor installation in any climate. The 304 stainless construction and insulated cover are what make outdoor placement practical. In freezing weather, follow the manual's guidance on operation and winterizing if the unit will sit unused.
What kind of base does it need?
Something level and rated for the weight. 180 gallons of water alone is roughly 1,500 lbs, plus the tub and a person. A concrete pad, a properly rated deck, or a reinforced floor. If you are considering an indoor installation above grade, get a contractor's opinion first.
Does it need special electrical service?
The chiller and heater are commercial-grade units with their own power requirements. Have a licensed electrician review the specifications in the manual against your panel before installation, and plan on a dedicated circuit.
Why stainless steel instead of acrylic or plastic?
304 stainless resists corrosion, does not degrade under UV outdoors, holds temperature well, and lasts. It costs more than a plastic or acrylic shell, and in a tub cycling between near-freezing and 108°F outdoors, that durability is what you are paying for.
